What do adults complain about to their psychologist these days? I have no idea. But I do know, that in twenty five years or so, one of the major complaints is going to be from traumatised children from the ‘viral’ youtube clips which circulate the world daily. Seriously. People are going to grow up forever taunted for being that naked kid whos parents fed them lemons when they were nine months old. Or pop rocks. Or filmed them being dragged into the pool by the dog. Or being catapaulted off the trampoline by their brother. Who knows what sort of self esteem issues these ‘golden era‘ kids are going to have. I pity their doctors, and seeing as it is going to be our generation giving them advice, and looking after their unwanted gold, I suggest to any students studing psychology out there, to do a lot of extra-curricular studies on the ramifications of being a ‘viral’ youtube baby.
